Confusion has arisen regarding the applicability of MEPC 107(49) to exisiting oily water separators
Application of MEPC 107(49)
According to LRS, USCG, DNV, ABS and BV any 15 ppm alarms replaced after 1st January 2005 MUST meet the requirements of MEPC 107(49). GL however will accept that MEPC 60(33) alarms can still be replaced with identical models on exisitng MEPC 60(33) separators.
